About the assignment

Do you call yourself a technical writer, technical communicator, or information designer? Regardless of the title, we are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and the ability to make complex technology clear, structured, and user-friendly.

In this assignment, you will work on creating, updating, and quality-assuring technical documentation within a high-tech field. You will be part of a knowledgeable team that ensures that technical information is accurate, consistent, and accessible – both for internal users and for the client's end customers.

The work will primarily be performed on-site in Arboga, with the possibility of hybrid work.

Examples of tasks:

• Create, update, and review technical documentation such as maintenance manuals, testing and troubleshooting instructions, and user guides

• Work according to established standards such as S1000D, iSpec 2200, and Simplified Technical English (STE)

• Produce documentation in XML/SGML environments and CMS tools such as UPTIME 4

• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and product specialists to ensure that the documentation reflects current technology

• Contribute to improvements in structure, language, and usability of the documentation

• If necessary, create and update technical illustrations and simpler graphics

We believe you have:

• Experience (3-7 years) as a technical writer or in the electrical/electronics field

• Education in electrical, electronics, technology, or information design, or equivalent work experience

• Experience working with Simplified Technical English, XML, SGML, iSpec 2200, and/or S1000D

• Familiarity with creating documentation such as testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance instructions

• Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• A meticulous and structured work style, as well as the ability to independently drive the work forward

The position is a consulting assignment and involves employment with us at Krets.The assignment may, in some cases, require you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations.
